Welcome to the
Barony of Bryn Gwlad, Online!

Greetings, and welcome to the WWW Site of the Barony of Bryn Gwlad, otherwise known as Austin TX. Bryn Gwlad is a part of the Society for Creative Anachronism, an educational society whose members and friends gather, recreate and learn about what it might have been like to live in the period from 600AD to 1600AD.

The Society is currently divided into 13 kingdoms. Bryn Gwlad is part of the Kingdom of Ansteorra. Ansteorra is made up of Oklahoma and Texas, except the El Paso area (Mountain Time Zone).

If you would like to contact us here in Bryn Gwlad you are welcome to join us at our weekly group meeting. We can also be contacted in writing at:

Their Excellencies, Sir Pendaran and Mistress Jehanne

We recently lost a long-standing member of our group, Sir Riccardo de Piza. Please visit the Sir Riccardo Memorial Page to learn and remember more about this great Ansteorran knight.

Also recently added online is the Charter for the Bryn Gwlad Baronial Guard. Please visit this page is you are interested in becoming a Guard member.

Bryn Gwlad's War Company won the King's War Banner at Gulf War 2001!

As recently noted by Baron Pendaran on the mailing-list, please be sure to get your award reccomendations into Their Excellencies. To help with that, here is the Award Recommendations Form in HTML format or in .pdf format. If you need the .pdf reader, click here. To see our awards and their recipients, look here.
