Yule - Who is Bring What .. Those whose last name begins with A, B, C, D, E or F should bring a vegetable (tarts, pies, etc.) dish of some sort (period recipes are greatly encouraged). Those whose last name begins with G, H, I, J, K, L or M should bring a meat dish (roasts, tarts, pies, etc.) of some sort (again, period recipes encouraged). Those whose last name begins with N, O, P, Q, R or S should bring a dessert (again, period recipes encouraged). And those whose last name begins with T, U, V, W, X, Y or Z should bring a bread of some sort (white, wheat, rye, etc.) and butter. Also, everyone is to try and bring a period sauce. Cariadoc's Miscellany, Take a Thousand Eggs or More, and/or Pleyn Delit have many, many recipes for sauces that are very easy to make! Contact the Cook's Guild members for recipes if you do not have access to the hard copies of the books listed. Oh, and Toasted Savory Cheese (cheese goo) with mixed herbs is a period sauce too!
