Their Excellencies Pendaran and Jehanne, Baron and Baroness of Bryn Gwlad do invite you to their final court and to witness the Investiture and first court of their Successor Master Thomas of Tenby to be held on May 30th - June 1st 2003 on the grounds of Castle Garriott, in the great Barony of Bryn Gwlad. portrait of Baron Thomas

Master Thomas will have a vigil on Friday Night beginning at 7:30 PM. You are invited to visit with him.

All shall know that the day's events shall be held for the honor and entertainment of Bryn Gwlad’s new baron. These activities are to include rapier and chivalric combats (both individual challenges and melees), archery competition, thrown weapons competition, equestrian demonstrations, a pavilion decorating contest, children's classes, and an arts & sciences competition. The theme for all of these events is “The Glory of Bryn Gwlad” (our colors are black, white and gold). There will be plenty of space and opportunities for pick up fights and storming the castle throughout the day.

Their Excellencies Pendaran and Jehanne's Final Court will begin Saturday Morning at 10:00 AM.

A fabulous feast from the marvelous kitchen of Mistress Clarissa will be provided in the evening. The Investiture will follow feast and a chivalric torch light tournament will follow court.

Site Fee: $8 Adults, $4 for Children 5 to 12, Free for children Under 5. $24 per Family Maximum.

Feast Fees: $7 Adults, $3 Children 5 to 12, Free for children under 5. Please bring tables and chairs for feast.

Make checks payable to “SCA Inc/Barony of Bryn Gwlad”.

The site is on the grounds of Castle Garriott on Lake Austin located at the construction property at the end of Bridge Point Pkwy, Austin, TX.

Directions: Take your best route to Hwy 360 and Hwy 2222 in Austin. Go west on Hwy 2222 from Hwy 360 (away from Austin). Turn left at City Park Rd (first light). Turn left at top of hill on to Bridge Point. Turn right at dead end (only turn). Pass through barricades and follow road to event site. There will also be SCA signs to help direct you.

Site opens at 5:00 PM Friday and closes Sunday at Noon. Ground fires will be allowed at the discretion of the Event Steward. Primitive showers will be available on site. Please bring tables for feast. No cars will be allowed into the main event area after 10:00 AM on Saturday.

Site is wet, but please keep drinks in period containers.

Minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. They may also attend with a 21 year or older adult with a signed and notarized Minor Event Waiver from the parents.

Pets are welcome and must have a current rabies vaccination document. (Tags alone are not accepted.) Leashes will be required.

Horses must have proof of a negative Coggins test.
